New Features

The cascading grille and available LED headlights were definitely a much-needed face lift for this popular Hyundai sedan. Driving the Sonata through San Antonio, TX is an experience like none other with heads turning as you drive, the engine roaring underneath the hood, and the safety features looking at every angle.

Three Power Options

The Hyundai Sonata offers all the options that are needed to give you the performance that you are looking for. The SE, SEL, Sport+, and Limited trim levels come with a 2.4-liter Inline Four-Cylinder that gets 185 horsepower and get 29 MPG combined. Then there are two other options: one that focuses on efficiency and one that focus on power. The Eco trim focuses on efficiency with a 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine for up to 31 MPG combined and 178 horsepower, then the Limited 2.0T+ has a 2.0-liter Twin-scroll Turbo that gets 245 horsepower but drops fuel efficiency to 26 MPG combined.

Standard and Optional Safety Features

Every Hyundai Sonata comes standard with Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist as well as a rearview camera, but there are way more options than that. Hyundai Sonata Trim Levels

Get to know the trims for the 2019 Hyundai Sonata

The 2019 Hyundai Sonata received a few mid-year enhancements during the 2018 model year. Those changes carry over into 2019, and they make the Sonata an even stronger choice at our San Antonio new Hyundai dealership. Here's the extensive and well-equipped trim lineup for this popular model.

SE & Eco

The SE has a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ smartphone capabilities, and power-folding side mirrors. For safety you'll get Bluetooth, a backup camera, and the advanced blind spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and lane change assist! For a hint of style, there's metal grain interior accents and a single chrome exhaust tip. The Eco trim has the same features as the SE, but you get a 1.6L engine instead of a 2.0L.

If you have a long commute from your Schertz or Live Oak TX homes, you'll love the 10-way power seating on the SEL. You'll also get a smart key with a push button start, a very useful hands-free trunk, and a wireless charging pad for your phone. Style accents include chrome door handles and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. You'll also get two Blue Link subscriptions and a 3-month trial to SiriusXM.

The Sport has a distinct front-end compared to the other Sonata trims. Other unique styling includes dual chrome exhaust, sports seats that have mixed cloth and leather upholstery, and a sportier flat-bottomed steering wheel with paddle shifters.

Once you hit the Limited trim you get full leather seats that can be heated and ventilated, depending on the temperature in Windcrest and New Braunfels. For better night driving there are full LED lights with dynamic bending for those tricky corners, and front-seat passengers will appreciate their 6-way power seat. We think you'll also be big fans of the woodgrain accents that give this particular Sonata an even more upscale feel. For mid-year enhancements the Limited also got automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and smart cruise control with start/stop, and those additions are carrying over.

Sport 2.0T

The Sport 2.0T isn't simply a Sport trim that has a more powerful 2.0L turbo engine. You'll also get a sport-tuned suspension, bigger brakes, and larger 18-inch wheels.

Limited 2.0T

The Limited 2.0T really has it all. Along with the turbo, you'll find rear parking sensors, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam assist. There's leather sport seats for an edgier look, an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, and premium Infinity speakers.
